I had so much fun playing for the beautiful wedding of Ashley and Lucas! Held at the luxurious Colony Hotel located in Palm Beach, the lovely outdoor ceremony was truly memorable.
I first connected with Ashley through Ani, a fabulous pianist and fellow graduate of Florida Atlantic University. Ashley and Lucas were looking for a flutist, and I was delighted to work with them. (I was also happy to discover that the couple is from Seattle, my childhood home!)
When I arrived at the Colony Palm Beach, the wedding party was standing out front taking photos. Lucas was very kind to greet me and allow me to take my own photo of the gorgeous couple. The staff of the Colony was very helpful and professional, especially the fabulous venue coordinator, Robin. She directed me to where I needed to be, helped me set up, and was available to address any last-minute concerns.
I had a few minutes to chat with Nero and Matt, two of the groomsmen who had flown in from Canada for Lucas and Ashley's special day. Nero was looking for somewhere to place his video recording device. It was fortunate that I had just set up my music stand - it turned out to be the perfect solution!
Ashley and Lucas selected traditional, classical music for the ceremony. After all the guests had taken their seats, Robin gave me the cue to start "Trumpet Tune" (Purcell) for the Processional. Then, as everyone turned in anticipation, I began the first notes of "Canon in D" (Pachelbel) for the Bride Entrance. Holding a beautiful bouquet, Ashley looked stunning as she walked down the aisle.
At the conclusion of the heartfelt ceremony, all the guests rose to their feet and applauded. Ashley and Lucas exited joyously to the tune of "Wedding March" (Mendelssohn).

Congratulations, Ashley and Lucas! It was such a pleasure to be a part of your special day. We wish you all the best as you begin your journey together!
