On March 4, Music for Every Occasion provided a jazz pianist for the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County Professional Advisory Committe's (PAC) annual Mitzvah Society Cocktail Reception, held at the Addison Reserve Country Club. For the past decade, the Mitzvah Society has honored outstanding individuals who have inspired others to make a significant impact to the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation (JJCF). This year, the honoree was Thomas R. Kaplan.
Lisbeth Cauff, Director of the Jewish Women's Foundation, contacted Music for Every Occasion to inquire if we could assist with this prestigious event. Lis wanted music that would create an upbeat atmosphere. I asked her what the size of the room would be and approximately how many guests would be there (because these factors would affect the choice of ensemble.) The honoree had also mentioned that he preferred jazz. Since the event was scheduled to be held in a room with a grand piano, Lis decided to have a jazz pianist.

What a true humanitarian and pillar of the Jewish community!
The Mitzvah Society Cocktail Reception was held in a spacious room inside the Addison Reserve Clubhouse. As Kiki played light jazz music, guests greeted each other and enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Throughout the evening, several guests approached Kiki to compliment him on his playing. The smooth sounds of jazz piano helped create a sophisticated atmosphere.

It was a pleasure to work with Lis to provide music for the Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation Professional Advisory Committee's Mitzvah Society Cocktail Reception. We extend our congratulations and best wishes to honoree Thomas R. Kaplan!
