"Throughout my two years with Vivien, I have learned a lot about the flute. I have been able to accomplish things that I never could have before. All of the techniques that I learned to all of the new songs that I was able to play, Vivien helped me with it. I am grateful to have had her teach me." - David, age 13
The flute is a member of the woodwind family. With its beautiful tone and wide range of repertoire, the flute is a popular choice for students of all ages. We generally recommend students begin flute at age 7 or 8, so that they have the physical strength to hold the instrument, as well as the lung capacity required for tone production.
